Mohammad "Matt" Namvarpour

Information Science PhD Candidate, Human-AI Researcher, Instructor, and Science Communicator

About Me

Hi! I'm Matt, an Information Science PhD candidate at Drexel University in Philadelphia. I study Human-AI interaction and conversational user interfaces. My research focuses on how AI systems can support reflection, connection, safety, and meaningful communication.

I also teach undergraduate computing and information science courses. My teaching focuses on active learning, clear structure, and helping students connect complex ideas to real-world problems.

Beyond research and teaching, I create educational content about AI and conversational interfaces through my YouTube channel and the Coo-ee Podcast.

Research Interests

  • Conversational User Interface (CUI) Design
  • Human-AI Interaction
  • Machine Learning
  • Natural Language Processing

Teaching

I teach undergraduate courses in Information Science at Drexel University. My teaching focuses on clear structure, active learning, and practical application.

I use short lectures followed by worksheet-based activities grounded in real-world scenarios. My goal is to help students apply concepts with confidence and connect course ideas to everyday problems.
